Security Dungeon
Protecting you from aberrant capitalizers by requiring security checks, an imaginary boundary of liminality, between us and bad bacteria. Making you feel stranger standing outside the gates holding your own intellectual property in your hands, a soggy cardboard box full of degenerate attempts at fiat value.- Google, its what we do. Male emotions have been fetishized just as female physicality has. These people are taught at a young age what is human currency, taught to withhold for the sake of agency. Then as a man you get accused of not being intimate. Its like foreplay, you have to ease up on it before you can get it. Foreplay for the expression of masculinity is sex and physical deconstruction, the cuddling will come after, you can help me rebuild my walls only this time we'll do it from the inside...together. For the feminine counterpart, there is subterfuge, a cobra in a basket. This tangle makes for good tussles. Gender itself is a charade of constructed stage sets. Like a ballet from the mid nineties, reality resists pure abstracts and absolutes. It behaves more like well hung curtains of grey... and androgynous new wave tenors.
oh and about that box....the invention of the "bit"- James Gleick

As far as I could tell...
I saw where a graphic novelis being published about the Green River killings. After reading the guys own account of stabbing a six year old and then confessing to killing 70 some odd people, I thought how close this retelling is to the story of the house wife who drinks every night but because everything runs so smooth on the outside that no one suspects there is a problem.

Whatever became of Whooville Swamp?
Its like some kind of protestant work ethic witch hunt. Meanwhile the real wizards and witches of finance are cackling in billions of offshore assets, all derived from government contracts. We are upset that Cindy Loo is buying Dunkin Hines brownie mix with food stamps while the mayor of Whooville just awarded a construction contract with Whooville municiple money, for a subdivision that nobody can build in, when housing starts are at historic lows, all because Whooville builders association donated a (tax deductible)chunk of change to Mayors Whoo's war chest...blah blah we know the drill, and yet we are all pissed at the littlest Whoo, and those slutty candy cane haired girls all puttin it out there!...aaand, they cleared pristine Whooville swamp lands to build Whootopia, when they should have used that slushy to increase property value for the people who are established and paying taxes, all because Dufus Whoo promised Whoom Depot he would get Whooville cashola to buy Whoom Depot sod to patch that scar he left in Whooville swamp. Which actually has now led to record flooding in the area cause they scrooged with the 1000 year old ecology, but then theres always the federally funded disaster relief programs the anti socialist Mayor of Whooville is grand standing for .... Metaphor meltdown.

from the wiki on "Cropsey " amovie about Staten Island and the boogie man by Joshua Zeman and Barbara Brancaccio:
The Boogeyman: “Everybody has their guy,” says Brancaccio. “Horror, no matter what artistic form it takes, did not create the boogeyman – he created horror. We have been telling stories about him since our earliest beginnings”.
Treatment of Andre Rand: Andre Rand’s court case did not start for four years after his indictment – one of the longest pre-trial motions in New York State history. Zeman reflects: “I don’t know if they actually even wanted to go through with the indictment. I think maybe it was more of a threat for Andre Rand to try and reveal where he may have buried these kids.”
Film’s “Indictment”: The culmination of the film alludes to indicting Rand, which became controversial. Zeman responds: “Cops typically say to each other there is no such thing as coincidence. Then again, on the other side, I don’t believe justice was served to the letter of the law. It was never our intention to indict Rand. I think a lot of the indicting happened through himself.”
Staten Island: According to Zeman: “As kids, we always wanted to get out of this one horse town. Everybody couldn’t wait to leave Staten Island because it was so suburban. We wanted to get to the city where the real action happened. As we got older, we realized there was a lot going on in Staten Island. There was a huge seedy underside. We had just been so sheltered growing up that we didn’t know it existed. When we searched for it, it was there: pedophilia, child prostitution, homelessness, mental institutions, garbage, toxic waste. All these things go on in communities and as a kid you are kind of just oblivious to it.”
Community’s Reaction: There were conflicting reactions from the close-knit Staten Island community during the making of Cropsey. Zeman describes: “Everybody in Staten Island knows each other. It’s one of the biggest small towns around. Everybody we spoke to knew about this story. It really gripped Staten Island. The search for Jennifer had been the largest civilian manhunt in New York history. I think there was a feeling of, ‘why are we dredging all this stuff up?’ for the older folks. But the younger folks felt like, ‘Oh, yeah. This is the story that really affected me as a child.’”
Communal Responsibility for Willowbrook Mental Institution: Zeman reiterates: “As a community, Staten Island especially, we allowed Willowbrook to happen. I think Andre Rand is a direct function of that. I think he is almost the physical embodiment of the collective guilt of the island.”

1812 New Madrid earthquake -wiki
Consequence of the 1811-12 earthquakes
Some sections of the Mississippi River appeared to run backward for a short time.[3] Sand blows were common throughout the area, and can still be seen from the air in cultivated fields. The shockwaves propagated efficiently through the firm midwestern bedrock, with residents as far away as Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Norfolk, Virginia, awakened by intense shaking.[9] Church bells were reported to ring as far as Boston, Massachusetts and York, Ontario (now Toronto), and sidewalks were reported to have been cracked and broken in Washington, D.C.[10] There were also reports of toppled chimneys in Maine.

Compelled!
Mistletoe is an interesting plant. It is a nesting haven for Spotted Owls,Marbled Murrelets, Diamond Firetails, and Painted Honeyeaters, quite a colorful neighborhood. Some trees react to mistletoe with a genetic mutation causing coarse dense growth or witches' brooms and make great homes for flying squirrels.(Witches Broom Nebula)
In other news:The old kissing tradition associated with mistletoe is only good for as many berries as are on the twig you've picked. One berry one kiss, thats it, but in some traditions a bird can be trapped by covering nests with mistletoe sap. I'm thinking a pervy super villain all covered in mistletoe sap and bird carcasses hydrostaticaly spewing mistletoe seed, reeking havoc on systems by making witches brooms of their order.

Corpse of literature
I had friends visiting from a few hours south. We decided to take a bike ride into the midmorning Florida heat to see the bay front on the last day of their visit. I like guiding visitors through my own mundane world as a way to reenergize my attention, and to make that world maybe a little less mundane. The dad is a professional photographer, who actually after 20 years of professional photography still gets excited by translating what he sees. At one point we stopped abruptly in an alley way. My friend started to explain how an abandoned parade float gave the appearance of being an actual pirate ship in a sea of unkempt lawn, as he grabbed a couple of angles. Now every easter when that float is given pirate life again to motor through the middle of town adorned with gratuitous cleavage and bearded accountants, I will always remember its silent run through the sea of beggar weeds...(drawing is a collaboration between the four of us.)

Ferdinan
Wiki Junky -"Ferdinand is a Germanic male given name composed of the words for "prepared"/"protection"/"safety"/"peace" (frithu) and "journey"/"boldness"/"recklessness" (nantha). It is particularly common in nations and regions that were settled by the Visigoths: Fernán, Fernando, Hernando, and Hernán in Spanish, Ferran in Catalan, and Fernando and Fernão in Portuguese. The Visigoths originally pronounced it as Frithnanth, later its Latinized form Frithunantus was pronounced that way by the Romans. According to Visigothic tradition it means "ardent for peace."
The French forms are Ferrand, Fernand, and Fernandel, and it is Ferdinando and Fernando in Italian. The Finnish version is Veeti."
"Fer nan dino" little fearce sword of flame... ?

The book was released nine months before the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, but was still seen by many supporters of Francisco Franco as a pacifist book. It became a target of the right wing, being banned in many countries, and—perhaps because of that suppression—was promoted by many on the left.

Eagle Gluten
Heironomous Bosch painted "Garden of Earthly Delights". Because of its suggestive nature, researchers believe it was possibly commisioned by the secret sect of Adamites he was a member of. Professing "to have regained Adam's primeval innocence" and "a sensual mysticism and a complete emancipation from the moral law."-Party on Garth. Sounds like early roots to the Hippy movement.

Anyone remember the name of the dean who had her gold earrings made into gold teeth and then also into her fingernails? She scared me. Lol. She also worked in the Regency mall at a wig store on the weekends. I totally forgot her name.

Augustus

I wanted to see this storm system we have developing off of the coast here. You can tell by the amount of cars with surf boards if there is a tropical air system in town. The skies are clear and the air is still and turgid with moisture. So far no rain, but the waves are a lot stronger. I wasnt going to go down to the sand just peek at the conditions from the boardwalk. When you get that close to rough surf, the salt and coolness of the sand is noticable. I decided to carry my shoes and just get some 9:30 color, put my toes in the water sort of thing. Lots of euro man bikinis and tramp stamped hour glass moms. My path was crossed by a chubby boy, and I got vexed by his body fat and the way he walked to the shore all self absorbed behind white framed blackout sunglasses and hot rod flame board shorts. Boy was walking into the rising sun like he was walking to the mailbox. Then I thought, hes probably the guy who just kicked my ass online in the Rune Scape 2 hours ago.

fearful asymmetry
Ann Knowels posted this quote: I was angry with my friend: I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe: I told it not, my wrath did grow.
~William Blake

I added my confusion to Blake's pastoral platitude...
deliciously so -a cup
a cake crowned with confection and froth
spilling over
not with just
plaque stained smile
butt impassioned sloth.
