My son and his friend were discussing whether C3PO was an android or just a robot. My son asked me last night to clarify this point of contention. I thought I knew the answer but was not one hundred percent sure, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. I was surprised to see that the term has been around since...1270! I thought it was just another made up techy word, but it has latin roots. As if that makes it any more valid. The guy who the term is attributed to was Albert Magnus, a Donican Friar from Cologne.
