About 9 years ago I was living in Boone Nc. I use to visit a coffee house/book store called Espresso News and one morning I was browsing in non-fiction when I heard a conversation between a man and a woman both in their mid forties about her being abducted. He gave the impression that he wasn't going to indulge her in her story but he didn't doubt her either. He mentioned publishing. She mentioned more men in black and forgetting things and maybe even "grey men"? Whats up with the monochromatic theme in government related paranormal stories. That was the closest I consciously got to an abductee story. Lately the Ancient Astronaut theory theory is growing in popularity. I find interesting, the double helix double snake theme that is being associated with Hermes staff and to the structure of DNA. Which brings me to the word drawing included here. I was indulging in these letters that spelled out snow. When I start with a "word" drawing I usually don't know what the word will be and just indulge in the shapes to a point until a recognizable word begins to form. It attempting to find meaning in this drawing or surmise some useless narrative I will start with the literal word and free associate until some sense appears plausible. SNOW could refer to cocaine and the chain a reference to the drugs vice characteristics as anyone I have known who has indulged this daemon can attest to. This drug is not a monkey on your back, you are the monkey on a short chain. Along that thought train I would couple up with a Rider Waite Devil card for the use of a chain. While I was drawing the chain I thought about the fat tendrils of chromosomes. It looks as though I was trying to cement this chain to the idea of a double helix. After that, I would wander too far out unto the ice of free association like Frankenstein the abomination or an Eskimo that did not heed the wisdom of his elders.
SNOW could also be a flat line place. Living in the mountains gave me the opportunity to appreciate all the subtle characteristics of snow. Snow is quieting. It doesn't make room for your ideals. It is a force of nature that can be life threatening. Snow bound. ...? More crazy planet X ancient astronaut stuff. Those videos are like Slurpees or Bullwinkle cartoons, so delicious. I just noticed the W in snow, is a lot like the SHIN in the hebrew alphabet. According to my in depth inter web research, Spock's hand gesture is grounded in this SHIN symbol.(SHIN-Wikipedia)

Shin also stands for the word Shaddai, a name for God. Because of this, a kohen (priest) forms the letter Shin with his hands as he recites the Priestly Blessing. In the mid 1960s, actor Leonard Nimoy used a single-handed version of this gesture to create the Vulcan Hand Salute for his character, Mr. Spock, on Star Trek.

In Jewish tradition the letter Shin is inscribed on the Mezuzah, a vessel which houses a scroll of parchment with Biblical text written on it. The text contained in the Mezuzah is the Shema Yisrael prayer, which calls the Israelites to love their God with all their heart, soul and strength. The mezuzah is situated upon all the doorframes in a home or establishment. Sometimes the whole word Shaddai will be written.

The Shema Yisrael prayer also commands the Israelites to write God's commandments on their hearts (Deut. 6:6); the shape of the letter Shin mimics the structure of the human heart: the lower, larger left ventricle (which supplies the full body) and the smaller right ventricle (which supplies the lungs) are positioned like the lines of the letter Shin.

A religious significance has been applied to the fact that there are three valleys which comprise the city of Jerusalem's geography: the Valley of Ben Hinnom, Tyropoeon Valley, and Kidron Valley, and that these valleys converge to also form the shape of the letter shin, and that the Temple in Jerusalem is located where the dagesh (horizontal line) is. This is seen as a fulfillment of passages such as Deuteronomy 16:2 that instructs Jews to celebrate the Pasach at "the place the LORD will choose as a dwelling for his Name" (NIV).

In the Sefer Yetzirah the letter Shin is King over Fire, Formed Heaven in the Universe, Hot in the Year, and the Head in the Soul.

Mercury acting through Fire upon the four elements. (Shin) is the (wisdom) tooth which allows (mental) chewing of the spiritual dimensions of the (physical) aspects (four elements) of the manifestation.

In order that the elements return to their source, the Divine communicates (Mercury) its spiritual (Fire) purpose to each aspect of the four-fold elements, that they each rise above their level of mundane manifestation. On a human level, it points out that one must rise above the mundane level (XX) by seeking spiritual (Fire) communication (Mercury) within the body (four elements), that any transgressions of the Divine Will (Fire) be transcended and integrated (Mercury).
